Windows 7 was finally released yesterday, and copies of it (and computers running it) were flying out of retail stores all day long. It appears that after dealing with the debacle that was Windows Vista for far too long, many of us simply couldn’t wait another day to move on to Windows 7.
Windows 7 marks the first real overhaul of the ubiquitous operating system since Windows 95, and I think most of us would agree that it’s long, long overdue. Microsoft must have finally gotten the message that users are much more interested in an OS that is easy to use, fast and stable rather than one that offers thousands of features that few of us want or need. And according to most reports they have delivered.
