Regular visitors to RickRouse.com know that I have a strong nostalgic connection to my first computer, the ancient Radio Shack TRS-80 Model I that I purchased as a teenager. That beloved old machine is long gone (I could kick myself for not holding on to it), but I still enjoy reading about it and talking about it from time to time.
I was browsing the web the other day when I stumbled across a wonderful site that is a virtual warehouse of information, specs and other resources for the TRS-80 line of computers. Have an old system lying around but no disks? No problem – You can order them right from the site!
I spent at least two hours following link after link on Mr. Goldklang’s wonderful site, and I must say it brought back a lot of great memories. And I even learned a few things I had never known about those groundbreaking TRS-80 computers.
If you ever owned a Radio Shack TRS-80 computer (or perhaps still do), you owe it to yourself to pay a visit to Ira Goldklang’s TRS-80 Revived Site.
Actually, my first computer was a Radio Shack, probably not that one.
